Husch Blackwell was proud to support Emerson’s commitment to Rebuilding Together St. Louis. An affiliate of a national volunteer organization, Rebuilding Together St. Louis revitalizes neighborhoods by rehabilitating the houses of low-income homeowners so that they may continue to live independently in comfort and safety.

In support of our community, a team of 15 Husch Blackwell attorneys and their families volunteered on Saturday, May 2, 2015 to help rebuild a home in the St. Louis area. Attorneys from the firm’s Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation and Real Estate, Development & Construction industry groups were represented. Hundreds of volunteers were active that same day and worked on rebuilding 45 different houses throughout metropolitan St. Louis.

Husch Blackwell’s Tom Gemmell submitted a paper abstract and proposal (“Effect of FAA’s Guidance for Exemption Petitions”) for a presentation and round table discussion at AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems 2015 conference in May 2015.

Husch Blackwell welcomes former FBI agent Christopher A. Budke to its Kansas City, Mo., office. A former special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for over 30 years, Budke brings a broad range of investigative experience to the firm’s Government Compliance, Investigations & Litigation team. He will serve as a special investigator in criminal and civil matters, and lead internal investigations on behalf of companies and healthcare entities.
